First Friday: Robert Wood & Castellanos Collaboration

The First Friday Art Walk at SZ Gallery for the month of April is a special one. In addition to featuring three new artists, it’s also our Cotton (2 year) Anniversary! Stop by the Gallery on April 6th between 5 – 8 pm for themed cocktails and seasonal bites, and celebrate with the SZ team alongside our artists.

The featured artists for April and May are Laura Castellanos, Juan Carlos Castellanos, and Robert Wood. The three artists’ works will be available for purchase until the end of May.

First Friday: Gitte Peters [NATURE'S POETRY]

For the First Friday of 2018, SZ Gallery will be showcasing Danish artist Gitte Peters' exhibit, NATURE'S POETRY, a collection of oil paintings. Her pieces will be available for purchase, and in the spirit of new beginnings, they will be offered at a gallery discount of 30%. For the First Friday Art & Wine event, we'll also have drinks and small bites to enjoy!

First Friday [11.03.17]: PERSIAN GARDEN - Event Photos!

PERSIAN GARDEN, by Artists Monir & Mehdi Ghanbeigy, opened on Friday with warm accolades on a brisk November evening. This curated exhibit of almost fifty porcelain/ceramic works of art were imported from Iran and inspired by ancient and modern-day history, throughout various Asian & European cultures. With each piece comes a specific story or poetic reference.

The works were complimented with Persian and Middle Eastern sweets, hot tea and a variety of wines to taste. The SZ Gallery was quickly filled with art collectors and enthusiasts, resulting in the sale of thirteen pieces on opening night. SZ is proud to be the first gallery in the US to show the works of such renowned artists. First Friday: Juliana Kang Robinson [MIGRATIONS]

Starting on September 1st at the First Friday Art Walk, SZ Gallery will feature the work of Mercer Island artist Juliana Kang Robinson in her show, MIGRATIONS. Her pieces are available for purchase and on exhibit until October 31, 2017.

‘Migrations’ focuses on the concept of motion and movement, particularly on the marks of migration left behind on the surface of things.
